1. About this notice
This Cookie Notice explains how AssuredCPD uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, the choices available to you, and how to exercise them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site work, remember your choices, and understand how it is used. "Similar technologies" include pixels, tags, local storage, and software development kits that perform comparable functions. Cookies may be "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (remaining for a set period), and "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by others).
3. Legal basis and consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, strictly necessary cookies may be stored without consent. We have deliberately chosen not to use any non-essential cookies: our website analytics are provided by a privacy-first, cookieless tool that sets no cookies and collects no personal data (see sections 5–6). Because we set no analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required and we do not display one. If this ever changes, we will introduce a compliant consent mechanism before any non-essential cookie is set.
4. The categories of cookie we use
- Strictly necessary — a small number of first-party cookies required for the site to function. Always on; no consent required under PECR.
- Analytics (cookieless) — we use a privacy-first analytics tool (Plausible) that measures aggregate, anonymous usage without setting cookies or collecting personal data, so it needs no consent.
We do not use advertising, targeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. The cookies we use in detail

Our analytics provider, Plausible, is cookieless and so does not appear in this table: it sets no cookies and collects only aggregate, anonymous metrics (such as page views and referrer), with no personal data.
6. Third-party services
We use Plausible Analytics for website statistics; it is privacy-focused, sets no cookies, and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. We also load Google Fonts and background video to display the site; where these are served by third parties, they may receive your IP address as a technical necessity to deliver the content. These providers process data under their own policies and, where applicable, our data-processing agreements.
7. Managing your preferences
Because we use no non-essential cookies and our analytics are cookieless, there is nothing to opt out of, and we do not display a cookie banner. You can still control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings (see section 8).
8. Browser controls
You can also control cookies through your browser settings — blocking or deleting them, or being warned before they are set. Instructions are available for the major browsers:
- Google Chrome — Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies.
- Apple Safari — Settings > Privacy.
- Microsoft Edge — Settings > Cookies and site permissions.
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings > Privacy & Security.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working properly.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is no universal standard for DNT; where we are able to honour a recognised GPC signal as an opt-out of non-essential cookies, we will do so.
