Why we put our prices on the website

Published 18 June 2026 · 4 min read

Go looking for the cost of CPD accreditation and you'll usually hit the same wall: "Contact us for a quote," "Book a discovery call," "Pricing depends on your needs." For a service that is, at heart, a standardised review against a fixed framework, that opacity is a choice — and we think it's a revealing one.

Hidden pricing isn't bespoke — it's leverage

There are genuinely bespoke services where a quote makes sense. Accrediting a training course generally isn't one of them. The work is well-defined: an assessor reviews your materials against published criteria and reaches a decision. When a price for something that repeatable is withheld, it's rarely about tailoring — it's about controlling the conversation, qualifying your budget, and quoting what they think you'll pay.

That dynamic doesn't serve buyers. It wastes your time on calls before you know if you can even afford to proceed, and it makes honest comparison between providers almost impossible.

What transparency costs us (and why we pay it)

Publishing prices removes a sales lever. It means we can't size a quote to a logo or a budget, and it invites competitors to undercut a specific number. We're fine with that. Our pricing reflects the actual work of assessing a course to a consistent standard — so it can be the same for everyone, and it can sit in plain sight on the pricing page.

For an accreditation body, this matters more than for most businesses. Our entire product is trust. It would be incoherent to ask providers to stake their credibility on our mark while being cagey about something as basic as what it costs.

What you can see before you ever talk to us

  • Every membership tier and the single-course price, in pounds, on the website.
  • What each price includes — assessment, the mark licence, directory listing, verification and re-issues — with no per-certificate fees.
  • Renewal pricing, so there's no year-two surprise.
  • No minimum term and no lock-in, so the price is the whole story.

Transparency is the product

Open pricing is the smallest, most testable promise an accreditation body can make. If we'll show you the price without a "qualifying call," it's reasonable to expect the same straightforwardness everywhere else — in our standards, our turnaround, and our certificates. That's the point.
